Where is Warwick Castle?


Warwick Castle is located in Warwickshire, England near the river Avon. Warwickshire in located in the heart of England landlocked from all sides (check the map).

How to go to Warwick Castle?


It is a 2 and half hours journey by train (check nationalrail.co.uk) from Marylebone, London to Stratford or a direct train to Warwick station can also be found at centraltrains.co.uk or chilternrailways.co.uk. Alternatively one hire a car (when going along with more people it is cheaper option) from Heathrow. It is also closer to Birmingham International Airport from which one can hire a car for a 40 minute drive.
Also available option is to take a daily trip from London which can include other sites as well such as Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon (Shakespeare’s birthplace) and Costwolds.

What things to see in Warwick Castle?


Warwick Castle is a 1000 old castle. And the British having ruled the world recently, there is a lot of grandeur that is well preserved and royal splendor. This is the “true castle” of all the castles in England. This is a complete castle that preserved drawbridge, dungeon, moat and walls.
The Castle has a lot to see about medieval history. Madame Tussauds hosts wax displays of activities related to the castle such as ghostly dungeons where prisoners are tortured (yeah Europe is famous tortures), Earl of Warwick’s preparations for war, banquets. A trebuchet is also an attraction in the castle.
